the mid sem tests are over! ncc chalet also over!
mid sem tests finally over, i guess its a little too late to say that, it ended a week ago, shit, that means i only have to 1 week more to relax, damn, time flies. soon, school'll be starting again. i've been at ncc chalet the past few days from monday to wednesday. it was fun. tuesday was alan's birthday, and he damn got a hell of a celebration with ice cubes in his underwear and under his shirt. i noticed there were a lot of pretty girls at downtown east. shit, well, i am a guy. and normal guys will look at girls. i don't know whats wrong with me nowadays, i didn't used to look at girls so much. i guess its because i used to have someone to think of. the change is so dramatic that even i can feel it. damn, i'm screwed up, i must fix myself man. at the chalet we spent most of the time in the small little playing dota, i know its not something we should be doing at a chalet, but well, we enjoy dota. hahaha! but its just too bad many of the ncc peeps couldn't make it.
lets talk about today! i woke up in the afternoon, i went to TP with kayhowe. he needed to go school because his MC was rejected. he missed 2 tests because he was damn sick. and if tests were concerned, MCs needed to state that the person was unfit for the test, otherwise, rejected. after that i made my way to ang mo kio hub to meet albert, go night safari to do the field trip for the intro to hospitality and tourism. we were doing on the ulu ulu restaurant at the entrance of the night safari. it was before entering the night safari so we need not pay the admission fee. the buffet is $35++ but added up to about $41 per person in the end. expensive........... i would never spend so much on a meal but no choice, have to pose as a customer. in the end the buffet was only... okay... not impressive at all to me. the service was above average. service crew was friendly. very very nice dining environment. and i noticed something, when we were dining in, there were also japanese tourists. the amount of food they took was very little. there was this lady who took only sushi. but hell i tasted the sushi and they were bloody disappointing. i bet she was disappointed too.the sushis were very small with meagre ingredients like cucumbers and hams.............. wth..... there was also cured fish, wtf? i thought they were sashimi and was damn happy. TMD, it was bloody salty, i eat abit i sian and put it aside. the food i tasted there, i could have gotten them better at hawker centres and cheaper. i believe that is not the best Singapore can offer in terms of food. i tell u, with that 41 dollars i could have gone to Sakura for buffet dinner and have about 15 dollars left. though sakura does not have the kind of atmosphere that ulu ulu restaurant offers, but i believe it offers much more high quality food. here we are trying to promote Singapore as a food paradise yet we are offering such food at a tourism attraction. i really feel bad for the tourists, it seems to me that they are being exploited. the only thing about the restaurant which left an impression on me was the layout and atmosphere of the restaurant. it was very tribal style with wood all over. the wooden tables looked very clean, serviettes used were of quality. so good that they felt like cloth. the layout on the tables were very very neat. everything was clean and pleasant even for the toilets, i took afew pictures, i will post them.
dining experience - very very nice, unique atmosphere. a pro of its category.
food - too too too normal, does not leave an impression on its patrons
hahaha, i'm a evil critic!! hahaha! good day!
good day
